
The Clay County Unified Schools #379 is a school district
containing eight attendance centers located throughout Clay County, a geographical
area of 632 square miles.
USD #379 has a population of approximately 1,650 students, a certified teaching
staff of 147.6 (FTE), and a total staff count of 220.
A 31-bus route transportation system serves the Clay County schools, including
in-town bussing in Clay Center.
Clay Center Community High School (CCCHS) is a 4A high school located
in Clay Center. It is a member of the North Central Kansas League (NCKL)
which is composed of schools from Abilene, Chapman, Concordia, Marysville,
and Wamego.
Wakefield
High School with grades 9-12 has a population of approximately 75 students
and is classified as a 1A school.
The citizens of Clay County are justifiably proud of their schools. Students
