JOIN THE CHAMBER
The purpose of the chamber of commerce is to work with businesses and
professionals to build a healthy economy and improve the quality of life.
We accomplish this by serving as your advocate, promoter, and spokesperson;
event coordinator to generate traffic flow to boost our economy; travel and
tourism information specialist; human resource advisor; volunteer coordinator;
government relations specialist; and public relations practitioner.
First and
foremost, membership demonstrates support for the Clay Center Area. It
lays the foundation for building relationships, partnerships, and a proud
community. It also allows you to join a collective voice that speaks in
unison to shape our efforts
focused on bringing new shoppers to the Clay Center Area.
As a
chamber member, we are committed to promoting your business. We utilize various
means to promote our members through welcome packets for new comers and
visitors; weekly chamber coffee; new business ribbon cutting; announcing opening
anniversaries; teacher appreciation breakfast; travel & tourism; annual events
such as Independence Day,
Piotique, Watermelon Feed, Easter Egg Hunt, Halloween
Howl, Christmas Promotions; KISS FM Radio; local PSA spots; and our Website.
The Clay Center Area Chamber of Commerce encompasses Morganville,
Wakefield, Longford, Clifton, Clyde, Green, Oakhill, Vining, and Clay Center.
Our success is only made possible through working with the volunteer manpower of
business and professional people who work effectively together to make the Clay
Center Area a better place to live, work, have fun, and do business. The
Chamber is in fact Clay Center’s Department of Progress. The first concern
of the Chamber is for the economic well-being of the entire community without
regard to city limits, for the preservation of our business system. and to
promote business growth and development.
The Chamber is not a government entity. The Chamber includes an elected
board of directors, professional staff, and volunteers serving together in
action oriented groups, committees, and task forces. We welcome all volunteers
willing to make a positive impact on our community. Members of the Events
Committee support our ongoing events and make significant decisions to ensure
impacting events.
The Clay Center Area Chamber of Commerce is also
the
“Front Door”
to the community. We strive to present a positive image to people visiting
and/or relocating. Chamber members are the collective voice and image
saying
“WELCOME to our community!”
