CENTER 2010
The Clay Center Area Chamber of
Commerce is now taking applications for Leadership Clay Center
2010.
The focus of Leadership
Clay Center 2010 is to develop 21st Century Leaders who are
committed to expanding their knowledge, strengthening their
leadership abilities, and becoming servant leaders.
Each class will begin at
5:30 with a light meal and conclude at 8:00 PM. The dates for
each class are Feb 25, March 9 & 23, April 6 & 20, and May
4 &
18. Each class will be held in the Education Room at the
Medical Center with the exception of three classes. Classes
that will be offsite include a tour of Clay Center (behind the
scenes), a trip to Topeka (a day at the Capitol), and the
graduation dinner. The Tour of Clay Center will begin at 1:00
PM and conclude at 4:30 PM. We will leave to go to Topeka at
7:30 AM and return by 4:00 PM. Leadership Clay Center will end
with a class project.
Leadership Clay Center
will use tools from several leadership programs to help
participants become local leaders.
Participants will learn:
- Their
specific style of leadership
- How
to use their leadership style to communicate with others
- What
it means to be a Servant Leader
- What
role they have in the community
- How
to make a difference in your community
Tuition for Leadership
Clay Center is $100.00 which covers the cost of a light meal,
training materials, trip to Topeka, and a celebration at the end
of the course. Tuition can be paid by the individual or their
employer. In order to facilitate maximum learning
opportunities, the class will limited to 12 participants.
Participation is open to everyone.
